What to expect

Icon quality red Burgundy, hence from the pinot-noir grape variety. From single vineyards classified as Grand Cru or of comparable repute. Highly individual in character. The 'spicy' category mainly encompasses Le Musigny and the grands crus from Vosne-Romanée. Often deceptively pale in colour, yet subtly spicy, very gamey in bouquet, with splendidly restrained intensity and lots of detail. While sometimes fairly accessible when young, bottle ageing will make these wines develop beautifully detailed fruit, profound minerality, often with sauvage character, a magnificent bouquet and a palate that literally fans out. The gamey 'sauvage' character will intensify strongly with age. Very exclusive and (unfortunately) very expensive.

Cheers and enjoy this great wine!
