What to expect

High quality red Burgundy, hence from the pinot-noir grape variety and (generally) from single vineyards classified as Premier Cru. Very individual in character. This 'elegant' category encompasses style of wines from Geverey-Chambertin, Morey-St. Dénis, Chambolle-Musigny, Volnay and Chassagne-Montrachet. Never deep in colour, intensely red summer fruity pinot-noir character, with a meaty bouquet, restrained intensity and lots of detail. While sometimes accessible when young, these wines will gain substantially in bouquet and aromatic detail with bottle ageing, developing profoundly gamey and earthy notes when aged.

Cheers and enjoy this great wine!

Remarks:
Initial notes of new wood have meanwhile fully integrated. This 2000 is holding up well, even when the wine should be drunk within 2 years
