A well-rounded dry white wine from the Grüner Veltliner grape with lots of body, 14% alcohol and substantial minerality. In the Wachau region, the best quality examples are designated as ‘Smaragd’ (Emerald). These wines are harvested later and vinified dry. Young: fruit-dominated, grapey, aromatic with hints of white pepper. Ready to drink: well-rounded and mineral. Mature: compact with mature aromatic notes.
