Rustic but red wine of high quality, fom the region in Central Italy by the same name. Mainly of the sangiovese grape variety (that is here named prugnolo gentile). Gets two years of cask ageing (three for riservas) and can be rather inaccessible when young, with drying tannins. However plenty of bright red fruit as well, along with vibrant acidity and lots of structure. Open this well in advance and drink with food.
Cheers and enjoy this great wine! Winewinewine Team
