Wine from Rioja (and Ribera del Duero), aged for at least two years in (American) oak and three years in the bottle, made primarily from the Tempranillo grape. Light and red-brown in colour, with intense vanilla aromas and substantial earthy flavour notes. Significant acidity and medium alcohol (13%). Young: ageing in the cellars. Ready to drink: spicy, earthy, slightly oxidative. Mature: strong earthy and vanilla notes.
